NORWALK, Conn. (August 31, 2009) – IHS Herold will convene its 18th Annual Pacesetters Energy Conference, Sept. 22-24, 2009 at the Hyatt Regency Hotel in Greenwich, Conn. The three-day event will provide key insight on the critical issues facing the global energy industry including managing investment and business risks during a period of extreme price and demand volatility. Other key issues to be discussed include reserves replacement; energy solutions for the 21st century; the changing course of resource nationalism; the future of alternative energy; making unconventional resources conventional and the route to successful resource plays, to name a few.

The Pacesetter Conference agenda also features IHS Herold’s presentation of results from the 2009 Global Upstream Performance Review, its 42nd annual study of finding costs, reserve replacement, and results of operations for more than 230 companies worldwide. The presentation will focus on trends and challenges that will impact operations and financial performance in 2010.
