David Cain

Expertise: Greenhouse gas information management and technology

Cain is responsible for the functionality and content of IHS environmental information management solutions, with more than 20 years of experience in the energy and environmental industries, as well as the electric utilities industry with specialization in climate change. At IHS, Cain pioneered the development of an enterprise greenhouse gas information management system that is now in use by companies in 60 countries to manage greenhouse gas calculations and reporting as well as emissions trading programs. Cain has a Ph.D. from the University of Washington.
