Breakfast meetings will highlight new ideas, technologies from more than twenty leading entrepreneurs
IHS CERA has announced the selection of the CERAWeek 2011 Energy Innovation Pioneers. The founders and chief executives will present their companies' technology and vision in breakfast meetings at the sixth annual Energy Innovation Pioneers Program as part of CERAWeek 2011, March 7-11, at the Hilton Americas – Houston.
The Energy Innovation Pioneers Program, sponsored by Chevron, has been expanded from one day to three for CERAWeek 2011 and will feature presentations and informal discussions from some of the most innovative and distinctive new technologies in the energy spectrum, including upstream oil and gas, downstream and processing, biofuels, propulsion technologies, water treatment, electric storage, efficiency, demand response and building design. IHS CERA Cofounder James Rosenfield will chair the breakfast sessions to be held from 7:30 – 8:45 a.m. Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday.
The 23 innovators were selected by IHS CERA based on their creativity, feasibility of plan, scalability of technology and leadership team. According to Rosenfield: “This is the largest ever class of pioneers, spanning the full spectrum of the energy industry. These entrepreneurs bring a dynamism and ingenuity that will surely have a lasting impact on the energy system.”
“Many ventures funded five years ago are only now emerging from stealth mode,” added IHS CERA Chief Energy Strategist David Hobbs.
